A recap of Cooper's 8th week...
We have a growing boy on our hands! According to our bathroom scale, Cooper weighed in at 11 pounds on his 8 week birthday. That puts him at about 1 1/2 pounds more than his birth weight, but a little over 2 pounds heavier since we brought him home, so I'll take it! He's a solid little boy and eats a lot! I think he would weight 15 pounds now if he didn't spit up so much!
He's starting to make best friends with the ceiling fan this week...like all babies tend to do. He thinks the fan is the best!
He's giving social smiles to almost everyone now. He was smiling at Chase's teachers and friends at daycare this week. All of those kids in Chase's class absolutely love seeing "Baby Cooper" come in! :)
Cooper starting sneezing and coughing this week. We've all had a very mild cold this week, and Cooper hasn't been left out. Luckily I haven't noticed any phlegm yet. It's just the occasional sneeze/cough.
Cooper loves hearing his brother talk. If Chase is in a room and talking, Cooper will (almost always) remain perfectly still and quiet so he listen to Chase. As soon as Chase leaves, Cooper starts making noises again and begging for attention! In return Chase does like his brother and gives him kisses and asks about his whereabouts if they aren't in the car together, but there are definitely times that he doesn't want us holding Cooper. In the morning if I have to take Cooper upstairs with me, Chase will totally act out until I sit Cooper down on the floor (which results in a screaming baby), but then Chase will come over lovingly to me and sit on my lap and cuddle. We are a total circus in the morning!
We tested Cooper out in the Bumbo this week. He's not a huge fan. He usually spits up within 30 seconds of being put in it, so he doesn't stay in there very long!
